Yahoo mail- Spam auto response leaving my account?
The other day I was out with friends, my email started showing “Failure to deliver” Notices. There was an auto response to incoming mails or a use of my contact list. Some contacts are outdated- bouncing back to me. Seems it is some online pharmacy trying to use me as a spam machine. Is this internal to the mail, or did I get hacked into my computer? I have two email accounts on yahoo, and only one is sending out garbage. No other funny business yet. Help!
Your account has been compromised, Yahoo strongly suggests that you change your password NOW. Then it will stop. Run a virus scan. Alert your contacts not to click any links in the message because it is a virus/worm At one time someone sent you an infected email and they didn’t know. Like those forward chain mails. It latched on to your contact list.
